NHS Trust is seeking a Capital Accountant to join its busy finance team, delivering robust capital accounting across a substantial programme.

You will own the Fixed Asset Register, lead monthly capital reporting, support year-end disclosures and advise on IFRS compliance.

The role requires strong reconciliation and analytical skills, experience in large public sector organisations, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Experience of capital accounting and fixed asset management.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS for capital expenditure and asset accounting.
• Experience in large public sector or NHS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain Fixed Asset Register accuracy and compliance.
• Lead monthly capital accounting and reporting activities.
• Prepare capital expenditure reports, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Support year-end capital accounting and statutory disclosures.
• Provide technical accounting advice on capital expenditure and asset accounting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide financial support to capital projects from approval to completion.
