Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Capacity Market Controller to join our client’s team in Northern Ireland. You will support day-to-day delivery of key processes within the Capacity Markets team, coordinating activities, analysing information and helping ensure market deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, 1–2 years’ experience, strong organisational, communication and numeracy skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Capacity Market registration, qualification and reporting processes

• Work collaboratively across teams to deliver tasks accurately and on time

MCS Group is recruiting a Capacity Market Controller to join our client's team, helping deliver a secure, reliable and cleaner electricity system for Northern Ireland.

As a Capacity Market Controller, you will support the day-to-day delivery of key processes within the Capacity Markets team. You'll coordinate activities, analyse information and help ensure critical market deadlines are met. Working closely with colleagues and industry stakeholders, you'll play an important role in keeping processes running smoothly while gaining valuable experience in the energy sector.

• Typically 1-2 years' relevant experience
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work to deadlines in a collaborative team environment

Desirable:

• Experience in the energy or power systems sector
• Engineering background
• Experience presenting to groups or stakeholders
