Job Summary:
We are seeking a Temporary AutoCAD Engineer to support our engineering and design teams in developing and maintaining AutoCAD drawings and related processes. This role emphasizes standardization, error troubleshooting, Xref management, layer and insertion point development, automation, and Lisp programming. The ideal candidate will have a strong AutoCAD background and keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standardization: Develop and implement AutoCAD standards and best practices for consistent, high-quality drawings.
- Error Investigation and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve errors in AutoCAD drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specs.
- Xref Management: Manage external reference file structures for optimal performance and collaboration.
- Insertion Points Development: Establish and manage insertion points to streamline drafting.
- Layer Development and Standards: Create and maintain layer structures and naming conventions aligned with industry standards.
- Automation: Design automation solutions to boost productivity using AutoCAD features and tools.
- AutoCAD Lisp Programming: Develop and maintain Lisp routines to automate tasks and customize functionalities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and design teams to support drafting needs.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of processes, standards, and procedures.
- CFD Experience: Experience in CFD (6Sigma) modeling and reporting is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, drafting, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience as an AutoCAD Engineer or similar role, with strong AutoCAD skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, including Xrefs, layers, and Lisp programming.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in drafting and documentation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
