Job summary

MAXIMUS in Leeds (Coronet House) is hiring for a branch-based candidate support role. You’ll be the first contact, guiding applicants through the enquiry, screening processes and initial eligibility checks, ensuring a smooth journey toward our employment services.

The role focuses on delivering a high-quality candidate experience. Responsibilities include arranging meetings, recording referrals, and building relationships with partners to attract eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in roles requiring sales, promotion or influencing skills.
• Background in face-to-face customer service.
• Experience of working to structured targets and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and adaptability to diverse communication styles.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Influencing skills that drive commitment and action.
• Customer-focused with strong service mindset.
• Ability to plan and organize to meet targets and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and basic numeracy/literacy for reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for candidates, promoting branch services and guiding towards contracts.
• Conduct eligibility checks and ‘pre-streaming’ questionnaires to match candidates to suitable service streams.
• Build relationships with candidates and companions, managing expectations and next steps.
• Understand Employment Advisors’ roles and external partner services to direct candidates correctly.
• Schedule candidate meetings and ensure clear information on next appointment.
• Liaise with Branch Manager, providing data for reports and performance info.
• Document referrals in Clientele database until handover to Employment Advisor.
• Develop local relationships with JobCentre Plus and referral partners to attract eligible candidates.
