Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking a Clinical Trials Assistant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support cancer trials within the Cellular Therapy Team, based at 250 Euston Road, London. The role involves administering trials, booking appointments, and handling trial documentation while working with clinical research staff.

The successful candidate will support trial practitioners, nurses and data managers, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Essential: Completed/soon to complete science-based degree (or equivalent).
• Essential: Knowledge of EU Trial Directive and ICH GCP.
• Essential: Administrative experience and ability to work in a team.
• Essential: Ability to meet deadlines and summarise scientific information.
• Desirable: Experience in clinical trials or health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Sending, collecting and storing questionnaires.
• Handling incoming mail and correspondence.
• Providing high-quality personal assistant support to the team.
• Attending clinics if requested by the Nurse/Coordinator.
• Retrieval/creation and maintenance of patient notes and site files.
• Supporting data managers with relevant queries.
• Maintaining up-to-date filing systems (paper and IT).
• Completing mandatory training and other recommended training.
