Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard learners, staff and visitors across campuses. You will patrol, monitor CCTV, manage access points and respond to incidents to maintain a secure, conducive learning environment.

You will de-escalate conflicts and support staff in supervising learners, with a focus on safety and a visible presence throughout estate areas. Full-time, 37 hours weekly, temp role until 30 April 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in security guarding and a public-facing role.
• Ability to monitor CCTV, alarms and respond to incidents.
• Hold Level 2 English and Maths or willing to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings and grounds to deter and detect security threats.
• Monitor CCTV and manage access points to ensure safe, orderly environments.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents with a calm, professional approach.
• De-escalate conflicts and support staff in maintaining positive learner behaviour.
• Collaborate with Security Manager and Estates team to keep campus secure.
