Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Security Officer to protect learners, staff and visitors across its campuses. You will patrol buildings and grounds, monitor CCTV, manage access points and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe environment that supports learning.

Based at Rotherham College, Dearne Valley College or North Notts College as needed, you will engage with students to promote positive behaviour, deter threats, and assist in supervising vulnerable learners across the campus.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to undertake).
• Experience in security guarding environment dealing with the public in retail or public sector.
• Experience in the use of intruder and fire alarm systems and CCTV monitoring.
• Evidence of ability to carry out first aid.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises/grounds and provide a visible uniformed presence.
• Monitor CCTV and manage access points to campus buildings.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents quickly and effectively.
• Engage with learners to promote safe conduct and deter misconduct.
• Assist in supervising vulnerable learners in communal areas and direct them as needed.
