Job summary

University of Nottingham is recruiting for a permanent Security Officer in University Park. You will patrol the campuses and sites, respond to incidents, and operate CCTV from the security control room, preparing accurate written reports.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles. The post is full-time (36.25 hours/week) with rotating 12-hour shifts; salary is £26,908 to £28,890 per year pro-rata plus shift allowances where applicable.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a customer-facing security role.
• Ability to record and analyse information and produce written reports.
• Full UK Category B driving licence with no automatic restriction (code 78).
• Experience with CCTV security is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patrol University grounds and properties across sites.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, implement crime prevention measures.
• Operate CCTV in Security control room and provide detailed reports.
• Manage traffic control in accordance with university regulations.
