Luminate Education Group is seeking a Campus Safety Officer to help provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors across our Printworks Campus (and Somerville House and Temple Newsam campuses when required).

You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, support safeguarding and maintain accurate records, working closely with colleagues and external agencies to continuously improve campus safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, safety, customer service or public-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Hold a valid SIA licence or be willing to obtain one, with the cost funded by us.

About the Role

As a Campus Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in helping us provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors across our campus.

You will act as a visible and approachable presence, supporting the wider student experience while ensuring the Printworks Campus and where required, our Somerville House and Temple Newsam campuses remain a safe and secure place to be.

This role naturally demands a high level of teamwork and collaboration with colleagues, students, parents/carers and visitors.

What You Will Do

• Carrying out regular patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
• Providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact.
• Monitoring access to College premises and maintaining site security.
