Job description

Blue Arrow are recruiting a Campus Porter to work at a prestigious University based in Manchester City Centre.

You will be working in the Furniture Recycling Store. There is no restoration of furniture, although minor repairs may be needed, so candidates with some DIY skills are preferred.

The main tasks include taking furniture into the building/store after items have been collected from around the campus by our Campus Cleansing team. You are responsible for assessing furniture and making it fit for re-use, liaising with staff, students, and external organisations, and assisting with furniture deliveries across campus when staff have selected items.

Strong customer service skills are required as you will be interacting with staff, students, and visitors.

A clean driving license is ideally needed as the role involves furniture deliveries around the campus.

Working hours are 20 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of an additional 5 hours (until 3 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays).

The pay rate is £12.66 per hour.

This role offers ongoing work with potential to become permanent.
