Job summary

OneSchool Global is seeking a part-time Science Technician to join the Oswestry team, 16 hours per week with days to be agreed. You will support teaching by preparing materials, organising equipment, and ensuring safe lab practices.

Working closely with the Science Teacher, you will help run practical lessons, manage resources, and uphold health & safety standards across the department. The role offers stable hours and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• A-Level (or equivalent) in Science with GCSE English and Maths.
• Strong understanding of safe laboratory practices and handling of equipment and chemicals.
• Well-organised, reliable, and able to work proactively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
• Maintain, monitor, and organise departmental resources, reporting repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including CLEAPSS/RSC guidance.

Job description

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Science Technician to join our Oswestry team on a part-time, permanent basis (16 hours per week, days to be agreed). This is a key support role within our Science department, where you will play a vital part in enabling high-quality teaching and learning.

Working closely with the Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for the preparation, organisation, and safe management of equipment and resources, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.
