Job summary

UK Management College is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support the delivery of health, safety, environmental, and fire safety compliance across its campuses. You will assist in inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and the maintenance of compliance systems under the Health & Safety Advisor.

Travel across UK Management College campuses is required; the role reports to the Health & Safety Advisor and offers a permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week and

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Fire Safety qualification
• First Aid qualification
• Safeguarding Level 2 or Level 3 Training
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to collect, analyse, and present information accurately
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple responsibilities
• Competent in maintaining records and producing clear reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital record-keeping systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine health, safety, environmental, and fire safety inspections across College campuses.
• Undertake workplace monitoring exercises, compliance assessments, and safety observations.
• Complete campus walkabouts to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor compliance with College policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Support the development and maintenance of inspection schedules, monitoring programmes, and compliance tracking systems.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, and monitoring activities.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for review by the Health & Safety Advisor.
• Support investigations and corrective actions arising from incidents.
