Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Officer to join our Guildford College campus, keeping the site safe, secure, compliant and fully operational to support teaching and learning.

You will be hands-on, carrying out day-to-day maintenance and compliance tasks, respond to helpdesk requests, and participate in an on-call rota. This permanent, full-time role is 37 hours per week with occasional evenings and other campuses in Surrey.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in general maintenance, repairs, compliance tasks.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and relevant legislation, including Safeguarding and the Equality Act 2010
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and resolve minor maintenance issues independently before escalating to external contractors
• Basic IT skills, including the use of app-based reporting and helpdesk systems
