Job summary

South Thames College is seeking a practical Facilities Officer to keep Wandsworth campus well maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors. You will handle portering, repairs and basic trades, while recording work via the helpdesk and supporting visiting contractors.

You will work in a collaborative, safety-conscious team, managing your workload and communicating effectively to keep the site running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out a range of practical maintenance tasks.
• Understanding of working safely in a facilities environment.
• Organised and proactive with ability to manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Portering and day-to-day maintenance and repairs (plumbing, carpentry, decorating).
• Record and track jobs through the helpdesk system.
• Support visiting contractors and conduct regular building checks.
