Job summary

University of Manchester is seeking an experienced Estates Partner to join the Estates & Facilities Directorate on the Oxford Road Campus. You will act as the principal interface between Faculties, Schools and Professional Services to translate requirements into practical briefs and delivery plans.

In this campus-based role you will guide refurbishment, space planning and infrastructure projects, ensuring value and compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• A relevant professional qualification or degree in estates, construction, or facilities management.
• Experience in a property, construction or facilities management environment.
• Strong project coordination and delivery skills.
• Good budget monitoring and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted estates partner and key point of contact for Faculty, School, Research Institute and Professional Services colleagues.
• Provide professional advice on property, refurbishment, adaptation, maintenance, infrastructure and facilities management.
• Coordinate refurbishment and adaptation projects in occupied buildings with service providers and customers.
• Oversee relationships with contractors, consultants and internal service providers.
• Carry out surveys, maintenance schedules and inform planning and prioritisation.
