Job summary

Aston University in Birmingham is hiring for an electrical maintenance role within the Estates and Capital Developments department. You will perform planned and reactive electrical work on campus facilities, responding to tripped circuits and lighting faults, and carrying out minor installations and preventative maintenance.

The successful candidate must be a Level 3 electrician, with 18th Edition preferable or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified electrician required with attention to detail.
• 18th Edition preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of joining.
• Good written and spoken English; accurate and well organised.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on campus facilities.
• Respond to radio calls for tripped circuits and failed lighting.
• Perform minor installation works and preventative maintenance.
