Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre invites applications for a Catering Assistant (Term Time Only) to join our catering team on a permanent basis. You will help deliver a high-quality catering service across campus outlets for students and staff.

The role is 37 hours per week, term-time only, with shifts from early morning to evening. You will work 5 days over 7, including some July work, and enjoy a supportive environment with CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or service roles delivering high-quality customer service.
• Knowledge of food handling and basic food preparation.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet team and customer needs.
• Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Self-motivated with a passion to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of customer service through polite and friendly interaction to ensure a positive experience for internal and external customers.
• Work flexibly to support the wider team by preparing basic food, serving food, operating tills, stocking up, pot washing and cleaning areas as required.
• Work in a busy, varied and supportive environment.
• Assist with hospitality and functions as required.
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of products and meals plans to advise customers on correct and current pricing including special offers across all outlets.
