Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre in Nantwich, Cheshire invites applications for a Catering Assistant to join our catering team. This permanent role offers 37 hours per week across a 5 days over 7 pattern, with shifts from 7am to 7pm and some July work.

You will support the delivery of high-quality catering for up to 1000 residents, 7500 day students and 650 staff across multiple outlets on campus, using home-grown produce and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food handling and basic food preparation.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a catering or service-related industry delivering a high-quality customer experience.
• Ability to work flexibly and enthusiastically to meet team, customer and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of customer service through polite and friendly interaction to ensure a positive experience for internal and external customers
• Work flexibly to support the wider team by preparing basic food, serving food, operating tills, stocking up, pot washing and cleaning areas as required
• Work in a busy, varied and supportive environment
• Assist with hospitality and functions as required
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of products and meals plans to advise customers on correct and current pricing including special offers across all outlets
