Job summary

West London NHS Trust is offering a CAMH Occupational Therapist role as part of a training programme to become a CAMH Specialist Practitioner. The post supports development across Band 6–7 competencies with supervision, teaching and experiential learning.

The role focuses on children and young people with mental health needs, working within the Alliance Crisis Service and CAMHS pathways to deliver assessment, risk management and safe discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Registered professionals with post-registration CAMHS training or related settings.
• Experience in child and adolescent in-patient and/or community services preferred.
• Ability to be creative, flexible and capable of confident decision making.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist CAMHS services to children and young people and families across the pathway.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including risk assessment and develop risk management plans.
• Contribute to crisis care and care planning to prevent escalation where possible.
