Hi, my name, isJen Wilsonand I am the Team Manager for the Wakefield CAMHS Eating Disorder Team!Were seeking an enthusiastic, committed Mental Health Practitioner withexperience and skills to join our eating disorder team.
You should be able todemonstrate considerable mental health skills and knowledge. An experience ofworking with Children and Young people facing eating difficulties is desirable,this can be transferrable skills from previous clinical experience.
The team is basedbetween Airedale Health Centre in Castleford and Drury Lane Health Centre inWakefield. However you will work in different community settings across theWakefield District, therefore you will be required to demonstrate a flexibleapproach to travel as part of this role. As part of the role youwill be responsible for the assessment of young people presenting withdifficulties associated with eating disorder. You will hold a caseload withinwhich you will deliver evidence informed care to assist the young person andfamily through recovery.
The successfulcandidates will need to develop good working relationships with keyprofessionals across the district; therefore excellent communication andengagement skills are essential. A commitment to improving service delivery anddeveloping new ways of supporting children, young people and familiesexperiences is crucial to work within the wider CAMHS team. In return we willprovide a comprehensive induction programme, regular clinical and managementsupervision.

This role may be eligible for skilled worker visasponsorship, subject to the appointed candidates salary meeting the minimumsalary threshold of £38,700 per annum under current UK government requirements.

Thepost-holder will:
Provide assessment and treatment to childrenand young people with mental health needs.
Work autonomously and collaboratively withinthe MDT, providing consultation for other agencies/professionals.
Promote the safeguarding and welfare ofchildren and young people.
Toprovide routine and urgent assessment and interventions to young people with awide range of emotional and psychological problems who are referred tospecialist CAMHS, in keeping with evidence based practice with supervision froma senior clinician within professional guidelines and within the overallframework of the teams policies and procedures.
To apply a soundknowledge of safeguarding children and guidelines in clinical work.
To be committedto a quality approach for patient care.
Thepost-holder will demonstrate high levels of concentration and providesustained effort in assessment of complex family issues.
Tomanage own caseload, accessing support and guidance appropriate to individualneed.
To operate within the clinical and case managementsupervision framework.
To provide training, consultation and supervision toother service providers, partner agencies and junior members of staff asrequired regarding intensive interventions with children, young people andfamilies.
To participate in the development, audit andreview of this extension to existing service provision.
To undertake extended hours of work alongside fellowspecialist CAMHS practitioners.
