Are you currently a Band 7 practitioner looking for a new challenge, or a Band 6 practitioner seeking the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity to join our developing team of Liaison Practitioners who provide liaison between the local acute Trust and Wakefield CAMHS.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience working within the field of children's mental health in a healthcare setting, especially managing risk in health settings.

In this role, you will attend multiagency meetings, represent the service, discuss complex cases, and liaise with other teams/services both internally and externally.

You must have a professional registration to apply for this post.

The service operates between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job

You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to undertake clinical work with patients and their families with complex mental health needs.

You will support partners within the trust, provide clinical supervision, and work flexibly to support service needs. You will also provide training to colleagues across the district.

You will support young people experiencing mental ill health, drawing upon your clinical knowledge and experience in assessing and managing risk.

Good relationships with key professionals, families, and young people are essential, along with excellent communication and engagement skills. A commitment to improving service delivery and developing new support methods is also required.
