Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6) to join the duty team. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, fixed-term for 12 months.

You will work with children and young people, performing assessments, risk management, and delivering NICE‑aligned interventions within a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must be registered with a relevant professional body (NMC/HCPC/UKCP/BACP).

Qualifications

• Must be registered/accredited with a professional body (NMC/HCPC/UKCP/BACP)
• Experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
• Experience of risk assessment and safeguarding
• Ability to work autonomously within professional guidelines

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload of children and young people with mental health difficulties
• Undertake comprehensive assessments including risk assessments
• Develop individualised care plans in collaboration with families and carers
• Deliver NICE-aligned, evidence-based interventions and monitor outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in supervision and governance
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with partner agencies
