Job summary

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced dietitian to lead the Specialist Eating Disorders pathway for children and young people. You will assess, treat and support patients, families and carers across CAMH inpatient units and community settings, while teaching, supervising staff and developing services.

Applicants should be HCPC-registered, hold a masters-level qualification, and have senior post‑registration experience in mental health or paediatric

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered dietitian with current registration.
• Masters level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong CPD evidence portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a specialist dietetic service on the Specialist Eating Disorders pathway.
• Provide dietetic service to the tertiary CAMH inpatient units.
• Diagnose, advise and formulate treatment plans for patients, relatives and carers.
• Assess and treat a caseload in line with the Model and Process for Dietetic Consultations.
• Maintain accurate records of consultations and clinical work, including computerised data.
• Undertake systematic literature reviews, critically appraise evidence and identify implications for practice.
• Ensure evidence-based, auditable dietetic standards across the team, updating them as necessary.
• Develop and update written resources such as diet sheets and patient advice leaflets.
• Lead projects on new ways of working in mental health.
• Act as a point of reference for dietetic and other health professionals, giving advice, training and support.
• Liaise with health professionals and managers on service development and clinical management of patients.
• Deliver mental health education and training, and supervise or monitor students and other dietetic staff
