Job description

Are you an experienced, compassionate leader looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a motivated Team Manager to join our innovative Community Eating Disorder Service, supporting children, young people (aged 8-18) and families across our 5 boroughs.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide team leadership and management within a well-established multidisciplinary NHS service delivering high quality, evidence-based care. You will join a supportive team with a strong culture of collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement.

As Team Manager, you will lead day-to-day service delivery, support staff well-being and development, maintain safe practice, and ensure children, young people and families receive timely, responsive and person-centred support.

You will work alongside the CEDS senior management team to connect with acute services, primary care and wider CAMHS colleagues to support service delivery, quality improvement and pathway development. The role requires confident leadership, strong communication, sound judgement and the ability to support teams through change.

The post-holder will work flexibly across service hubs in Bury and Stockport, supporting consistent delivery, team connectivity and operational oversight.

  • Provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership to a specialist multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote a positive team culture that values kindness, fairness, determination and ingenuity.
  • Provide line management, supervision and support, encouraging development and reflective practice.
  • Support recruitment, induction, workforce planning and the effective use of resources.

  • Act as the interface between clinical teams and corporate operational services, supporting communication, escalation, decision-making and delivery of priorities.
  • Contribute to service development, innovation and transformation across specialist pathways.

We are looking for a confident, values-driven leader with substantial experience in eating disorders, mental health, crisis, community CAMHS or another relevant discipline. You will have experience supporting staff, managing clinical or operational demands, and improving services.

You will balance compassion with clarity, support staff through complex work, and maintain a focus on safe, effective and collaborative care. You will be passionate about developing people and improving services for children, young people and families.
