Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated managerial CAMHS lead to supervise clinical staff within the YOUnited referral hub, triage referrals, and develop service delivery.

You will work with YOUnited clinical leads, lead recruitment, ensure high quality care, and develop partnerships across services; travel across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough may be required.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered psychologist (clinical or counselling) or other registered practitioner.
  • Post-qualification management or leadership qualification.
  • Experience of staff management and applying managerial skills.
  • Experience in CAMHS and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership within the team and coordinate triage, screening and assessment within the Integrated Referral Hub.
  • Lead recruitment and staff development; supervise and maintain supervision processes.
  • Monitor caseload/workflow; ensure adherence to pathways and protocols; develop service improvements.
  • Engage in partnership working with CAMH, Social Care, Education and other services; travel as required.

As a key member of the CPFT YOUnited partnership, you will lead and supervise CAMHS clinical staff, champion high standards of care, and contribute to ongoing service development. Our service continues to evolve, and we are dedicated to ensuring that Children, Young People and their Families remain at the centre of everything we do. The YOUnited Hub processes non-crisis referrals of children and young people referred. Triaging each referral for risk and making decisions about whether referral meets the threshold for specialist CAMHS pathways, a trusted assessment within the "getting more help" CAMHS interventions pathways, or a "getting help" partners intervention pathway, or signposting the referral to the appropriate service or offer suitable advice working within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Referral Hub's policies and procedures.   • To provide operational leadership within the team, working with relevant professional and pathway leads and Service Managers and YOUnited Partner Team Managers and Clinical Lead for the planning and delivering of the service including the triage, screening, and assessment functions of the Integrated Referral Hub.
  • With the YOUnited Clinical Leads, ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and within current quality initiatives within the area of work.
  • To lead on recruitment and selection process of staff.
  • To develop and maintain the delivery of operational supervision process for team members.
  • To monitor the caseload/ workflow in team ensuing adherence to Trust pathways and protocols.
  • To participate in the prevention and early detection of emotional and mental health difficulties in children and young people referred to the service.
  • To maintain awareness of the resources of the core, neuro-developmental and eating disorders pathways in main Community CAMHS, and the administrative systems for booking appointments in those teams.
  • To work alongside Community CAMHS to ensure that waiting time standards are met.
  • To follow the Standard Operating Procedures of the YOUnited Referral Hub.
  • To network and develop partnerships with CAMH professionals and other professionals within Social Care, Education, Early Help services, General Practitioners, Child Health services, Health Promotion agencies and the Voluntary / Independent sector.
  • HPC registered psychologist (clinical or counselling) or other registered practitioner (i.e. registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Speech and Language Therapist)Post qualification continuing professional development, management and or leadership qualification., Experience of staff management and evidence of application of managerial skills and knowledge.
  • Evidence of successful partnership working with other professional groups.
  • Evidence of delivering supervision and training.
  • Evidence of effective working with service users.
  • Sound knowledge of local safeguarding policies and procedures, Experience of working within Child and Adolescence Mental Health Services.
  • Experience of working with wider stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in research and service evaluation work.
  • Evidence of project management experience., Knowledge of wider children's network of services.
  • An understanding of policy and legislation relating to mental health and social care services
  • Evidence of leadership ability, able to influence, involve and develop individuals and teams.
  • Strong ability to innovate and implement change.
  • Ability to use performance management information and demonstrate understanding of performance information., Experience of managing feedback, investigation of complaints or similar.
