Job summary

Athona Limited is seeking Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners (RMN/CPN) in Birmingham to support children and young people with mental health needs. Roles are full-time, Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00, on straight shifts, with bookings from 2 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.

Applicants should have CAMHS experience, RiO proficiency, and CYP safeguarding knowledge; they must be registered RMN or CPN and able to perform home and school visits as required.

Qualifications

• Current RMN or CPN registration with NHS experience.
• CAMHS experience essential.
• Experience using RiO electronic patient records.
• Knowledge of CYP safeguarding procedures.
• Experience undertaking risk assessments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undertake home and school visits.
• Availability Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.

Responsibilities

• Work within the CAMHS team to support children and young people with mental health needs.
• Undertake assessments and contribute to care planning and interventions.
• Complete risk assessments and respond to identified risks.
• Support safeguarding processes for children and young people.
• Maintain clinical records using RiO.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues and services.
• Undertake home visits and school visits as required.
• Contribute to delivering safe, effective and person-centred care.
