Job summary

Service Care is seeking experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners (RMN/CPN) for block booking across SOLAR services in Solihull. The role includes 37-hour weeks at clinics with some home/school visits possible, and dates from 2 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.

Care delivery focuses on waiting list management, assessments and safeguarding, with RIo system usage and multidisciplinary collaboration. Based in Solihull, locations include Bishop Wilson Clinic and Freshfields Clinic.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within CAMHS.
• Experience using RiO clinical system.
• Knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and young people (CYP Safeguarding).
• Competence in clinical risk assessment and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and responsive mental health care to children and young people.
• Support waiting list management and patient contact, where applicable.
• Undertake clinical assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding duties.
• Provide crisis intervention or core therapeutic interventions, depending on team allocation.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, schools and other professionals as required.

We are currently seeking experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners (RMN/CPN) for block booking opportunities across SOLAR services in Solihull.

Role Details

• Positions: Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners (RMN/CPN)
• Rate: £27.00 per hour LTD, inclusive of holiday pay and NI
• Contract Dates: 2 November 2026 – 25 January 2027
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00
• Shift Pattern: Straight day shifts
• Locations: Solihull, West Midlands

Teams Requiring Cover

• SOLAR Core Waiting List Team – Waiting list calls undertaken from home.
• Crisis Team – Predominantly based at the clinic.
• Core Interventions Team – Predominantly based at the clinic.

Working hours and days for the Crisis and Core Interventions roles may be negotiable.

• Bishop Wilson Clinic, Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, B37 7TR
• Freshfields Clinic, Downing Close, Knowle, B93 0AQ

Please note that practitioners may also be required to undertake home visits and school visits as part of their duties, depending on the team and service requirements.
