Job summary

SEND Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a mainstream primary school to support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.

You will work alongside teachers and the wider school team to provide consistent, supportive and nurturing approaches to behaviour. The ideal candidate is calm, patient, confident and resilient in building relationships with pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting learners with challenging behaviour.
• Passion for helping children succeed.
• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Team Teach desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
• Work with teachers to provide consistent, supportive and nurturing approaches to behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Contribute to a calm, safe and constructive learning environment.
