Job summary

King Edward VI Academy is seeking an Exam Invigilator to support students at the start and end of each exam and ensure a calm, orderly examination environment. You will provide correct information and materials, monitor conduct, and report any concerns to the Exam Officer.

The role requires vigilance, good communication, and adherence to school policies to safeguard students. Based in Spilsby, the academy values integrity, inclusivity and high expectations for learning.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum level (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Use of initiative and professional conduct essential.
• Commitment to equality and diversity and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Help organise students at the start and end of each exam.
• Maintain a calm, supportive environment during exams.
• Provide correct information and materials for successful exam completion.
• Ensure conduct follows exam guidelines and students are equipped.
• Remain vigilant to minimise disruptions and report any concerns.
• Mark attendance where required and follow school policies.
