Job summary

Specsavers Home Visits is hiring a part-time Call Handler in Brentwood, Essex. You will manage high volumes of calls, book appointments and support our home visits team. The role requires a friendly, confident telephone manner and strong organisational skills to deliver excellent customer service.

Previous call centre experience is valued, optical knowledge is a plus but not essential. Enjoy the chance to make a real difference while working in a supportive team environment.

As a Call Handler with Specsavers Home Visits, you don’t need to have previous optics experience, you just need to be prepared to create an outstanding experience for our customers each and every time.

This office-based role will primarily involve receiving a high volume of incoming calls and making outbound calls and booking appointments for our customers. We are looking for someone who has an excellent telephone manner and is confident dealing with people. There will be some admin duties required in this role too.

Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and have experience working in a call centre type environment. This is a busy and fast-paced role, so we are looking for someone who can work at pace and has excellent time management and organisational skills.

You’ll be surrounded and supported by a team bringing care to the homes of the people who can’t come into our stores.

• A friendly, confident and professional approach when speaking with customers
• Optical experience would be advantageous, but isn’t essential
