Qualifications

  • Experience in P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram).
  • Good knowledge of Calibration Systems and Automation/Controls.
  • Literacy in computer OS and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Execute calibrations per site schedule and procedures.
  • Handle scheduled and unscheduled work orders per site procedures.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and address issues as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform risk assessment of calibration steps and keep them valid.
  • Enter calibration certs into the site system as directed by the Site Instrumentation Manager.
  • Maintain all documentation in GMP and FDA compliant manner.
  • Collaborate with operation teams to facilitate calibration activities.
  • Carry out calibrations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Carry out corrective/reactive maintenance on instrumentation as required.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality/customer service.
  • Report work in line with site reporting tools.
  • Attend required site trainings and update PM schedules as needed.
  • Update site system databases as required.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for experienced Calibration Technicians who have a background in the Pharmaceutical industry to come join our team as we have a new role which will initially be based in Newcastle area.

Responsibilities

The following are typically the key tasks that would be expected of the role:

  • Execution of calibrations as per site schedule and site procedures.
  • Execution of scheduled and unscheduled work orders, where appropriate, as per site schedule and site procedures.
  • Troubleshoot problems with instrumentation as necessary and as directed by site supervisors.
  • Carry out Risk Assessment of instrumentation calibration steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
  • Enter calibration certs onto the site Computerized Calibration Management System if applicable, as directed by the Site Instrumentation Manager.
  • Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner in compliance with GMP and FDA
  • Work with operation teams as required facilitating calibration activities
  • Carry out calibrations in a safe and timely manner
  • Carry out corrective/reactive maintenance on Instrumentation as requested
  • Support continuous improvement and promote quality and customer service
  • Report work carried out in compliance with site-based reporting tools
  • To be available and to undertake any site required training
  • Update “PM” schedule as required
  • Update site system database as required
  • Manage and prioritize workload to ensure that assigned activities are completed effectively and on time
Qualifications

Experience in P&ID - Piping and Instrumentation Diagram

A good knowledge of Calibration Systems and Automation/Controls system.

Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.

They will also possess excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills additionally, crucial qualifications include strong organisational and time management skills, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and a customer-centric mindset.
