Job summary

Pertemps Leeds is recruiting for a Production Chemist to join a world-leading manufacturing environment in Uttoxeter. The role focuses on precise chemical production, calibration gas manufacture, and adherence to quality standards. Full training and career development are provided.

The position offers a 31,000–34,000 GBP annual salary (dependent on experience) plus a bonus and extensive benefits, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Scientific background in chemistry or related field.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to follow technical procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-accuracy calibration gases and reference materials.
• Produce oxygen and flammable gas mixtures per procedures.
• Prepare gas cylinders for filling, including valve fitting and evacuation.
• Maintain ISO 6142 and ISO 17034 quality standards.
• Support Production Manager with stock control and gas sourcing.
• Coordinate cylinder movements and site logistics ( forklift training provided ).
• Maintain production records and health, safety and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and meet customer requirements.
