Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is hiring a Production Chemist in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, to join a global gases business. You’ll prepare gas mixtures, get cylinders ready for filling and maintain accurate records to meet safety, quality and delivery standards.

This on-site role offers training, a competitive salary up to £34,000 DOE plus a 9% annual performance bonus, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension contribution, and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Scientific background or education relevant to chemistry.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with following procedures and using computer systems.

• Prior gas handling, lab equipment, or forklift experience is a plus; full training provided.

I’m recruiting a Production Chemist to join a global gases business, manufacturing high-accuracy calibration gases and reference materials used across industry.

This is a practical role combining chemistry, precision and production. You’ll prepare gas mixtures, get cylinders ready for filling, maintain accurate records and work closely with colleagues to meet safety, quality and delivery standards.

What we’re looking for:

• A scientific qualification or relevant background.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence following technical procedures and using computer systems.
• A practical approach, good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Previous gas handling, laboratory equipment or forklift experience would be useful, with full training provided.
