Job summary

Randstad Delivery (GBS) in Witney is seeking a Calibration Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability and compliance of measurement equipment used in the manufacture and testing of medical devices.

The role covers calibration planning, execution, documentation, troubleshooting and adherence to regulatory standards. 2-5 years of experience and a relevant engineering degree are required; this is a 12-month contract with a 37.5 hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of calibration, instrumentation or equipment maintenance experience in medical devices/healthcare.
• Knowledge of calibration principles for pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, mass, electrical, dimensional and analytical instruments.
• Familiarity with calibration management software and CMMS.
• Strong analytical, documentation and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification and preventive maintenance of laboratory, production, and inspection equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain calibration schedules and records.
• Ensure equipment compliance with GMP, GDP and quality policies.
• Troubleshoot calibration issues to minimize downtime and ensure traceability.
• Review certificates and verify traceability to national or international standards.
• Coordinate with external accredited labs as required.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ activities and equipment qualification.
• Prepare calibration procedures, SOPs and work instructions.
• Participate in audits and support regulatory inspections.
• Train technicians and operators on calibration procedures.
