Summary:
• Looking for an experienced Calibration Engineer. This role involves calibration, validation, and repair of electrical/electronic test instruments and mechanical torque tools to ensure functionality and accuracy.
• Test, calibrate, validate, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical/dimensional, or analytical test instruments, products, and modules. Services are performed on client products and/or products manufactured by other companies. Work is primarily at a client site, with occasional work at customer locations. Perform routine tasks using prescribed procedures and technical judgment. Solve a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity, including test and calibration issues requiring deep technical knowledge.
Main responsibilities include:
• Servicing both client and non-client products at the Telford Service Centre.
• Performing routine tasks using prescribed procedures and technical judgment.
• Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
• Understanding customer requirements through face-to-face and written communication.
• Traveling to customer sites (<25%) for calibrations (on-site).
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
• Education and technical knowledge relevant to the sector and role.
• Certifications as an electronic/electrical technician with relevant calibration experience.
• IT skills (Windows, Office).
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Confidence in answering customer questions.
• Ability to recognize and proactively solve problems.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude.
• Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance.
