Our Swindon site is looking for a Calibration Engineer to join our Engineering team. The Calibration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the routine calibration schedule is adhered to, improvement project work is completed as planned and that unplanned breakdowns are responded to in a timely manner to minimize the impact to operations. This is a Monday to Friday role and is site based.

The Role

To conduct requalification and calibration activities in adherence to the schedule and procedures.

To ensure compliance to the departments and site’s procedures.

To prepare & complete documents in a timely manner.

Collaborate closely with various departments to contribute to efficient performance.

Implement improvement projects to improve calibration equipment reliability.

Own Calibration SOPs and Methods. Undertake review and sign-off when required.

Undertake development Calibration activities and advise on troubleshooting.

Ensure Calibration activities are documented clearly and followed in accordance with Catalent Pharma Solutions documented procedures and GMP requirements.

The Candidate

GCSEs in English and Maths Grade C or above.

Experience and knowledge in a testing, calibration or qualification environment.

Good analytical thinking, dynamic, pro-active approach to the workload.

Knowledge of Pharmaceutical calibration and GMP requirements.

Conversant in calibration regulations

Experience in applying systems to improve plant performance

Detailed understanding of engineering issues and processes.

Skilled analytical thinker with the ability to critically assess requirements and select “best fit” approach to meeting company objectives.

Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in order to achieve engineering targets.

Ability to represent the company in a professional and highly competent manner.

Able to work flexible hours as required.
