Job summary

Trescal is seeking a Calibration Engineer to perform calibration and measurement activities in line with ISO 17025 and customer requirements. You will maintain auditable records using bespoke systems and work closely with colleagues to deliver a customer‑focused service.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment across electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines, ensuring certificates and records are accurate, supporting audits, and developing calibration procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a calibration or metrology environment is desirable.
• Technical qualification such as HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of calibration practices, procedures, and theories.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 or similar quality standards.
• Computer literate, with experience using Windows-based systems and laboratory software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to upholding Trescal's values, including environmental sustainability and customer focus.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

• Providing technical support to colleagues and customers, handling technical enquiries where required.
• Working collaboratively with team members and supporting a customer‑focused service delivery.
• Conducting all duties in line with company Health and Safety policies and environmental commitments.
