Job summary

iO Associates in the UK is seeking a Calibration Engineer on a 12-month contract in Brixworth to support calibration, development and validation of powertrain systems.

You will conduct rig, dyno and vehicle testing, analyse complex test data, and develop calibration strategies and tools to improve performance, drivability and reliability. The role requires experience with calibration processes and data analysis tools such as CANape, Matlab/Simulink.

Calibration Engineer

12 months contract

Up to £500 per day Inside IR35

Calibration Engineer is required to work with a high-performance engineering organisation operating at the forefront of advanced powertrain technology, delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. The business brings together world-class engineering talent to design, develop and validate cutting-edge mechanical systems and components.

You will be responsible for conducting rig, dyno and vehicle testing of powertrain systems to support calibration, characterisation, development and validation activities. Analysed complex test data, developed calibration strategies and in-house analysis tools, and delivered clear recommendations to improve performance, drivability, compliance and product reliability.

Skills:

• ExperienceofEngineCalibrationprocesses.
• Knowledgeofinternalcombustionengines,turbochargingandhybridsystems.
• Data analysis skills using packages such as Concerto, INCA, MDA, CANape, WinDarab, RaceCon, Excel, Matlab and Simulink.
• Knowledgeofhybridpowertraintestfacilities.
• Experienceofthepowertraincontributiontovehicle.
