U.S. Air Forces, Europe at RAF Menwith Hill is seeking a cook to perform a wide range of standard kitchen tasks in the SBII Cafeteria. The role involves preparing and cooking items that require little processing and contributing to daily meal service in a busy cafeteria.

The position is open until filled. It includes a guaranteed schedule with potential up to 40 hours per week and requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical due to moderate lifting and exertion.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical is required due to the moderate lifting and physical effort.
• Some federal jobs allow substitution for education, this position does not.
• Open until filled; location is RAF Menwith Hill.

Responsabilités

• Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers and fresh or canned vegetables.
• Prepares hot cereals, broiled meats; prepares and cooks concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies; makes cold sandwich fillings.
• Puts together salad bar, portions foods for distribution, stores leftovers, and washes and cleans kitchen equipment.
