About the role

Tea is brewing. Café doors are opening. The day is about to start, and so are our café team members. They're the talented people making every day a little better for our customers. Now, you can join them.

As a Team Member in our café, you're part of everything - a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact. As someone dedicated to great service, you'll make sure that every dish you prepare and serve lives up to the promise of our menu and meets all safety standards. You'll also help keep everything tidy, from kitchen equipment to customer tables.

This is a lively role, full of everyday challenges, which makes it exciting. Benefits include flexible working hours, opportunities for progression, and more.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours weekly for new colleagues, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12). We are flexible with scheduling within the availability windows you provide, and you'll be notified of your shifts three weeks in advance. We welcome applications from those whose availability closely matches our advertised times.

Please note, applicants must be 18 or over.

Responsibilities
  • Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
  • Serving customers efficiently and with care.
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining records.
  • Practising FIFO stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
  • Accepting deliveries and storing food safely.
  • Adhering to operational policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving food per the café's menu.
  • Maintaining standards and ensuring food availability.
  • Knowing the menu thoroughly and serving food as intended.
  • Resolving customer complaints and informing the Café Manager.
  • Keeping up with business communications and initiatives.
  • Clearing and sanitising tables to keep the café clean.
