About the role

Tea is brewing. Café doors are opening. The day is about to start, and so are our café team members. They're the talented people making every day a little better for our customers. Now, you can join them.

As a Team Member in our café, you're part of everything - a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact. As someone dedicated to great service, you'll make sure that every dish you prepare and serve lives up to the promise of our menu and meets all safety standards. You'll also help keep everything, from kitchen equipment to customer tables, tidy and clean.

This lively role is full of everyday challenges, which makes it exciting. Benefits include flexible working hours, opportunities for progression, and more.

We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you'd prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we have opportunities for that too. We are flexible and eager to hear from you.

The table shows preferred availability windows. We will schedule your hours within these times, with 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. If your available times closely match but are not exactly the advertised times, we still encourage you to apply. Read more.

Responsibilities
  • Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
  • Serving customers efficiently and with care.
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations and keeping records.
  • Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
  • Accepting deliveries and storing food safely.
  • Following operational policies and procedures.
  • Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to the menu.
  • Maintaining standards and ensuring food availability.
  • Knowing the menu thoroughly and serving food as intended.
  • Resolving customer complaints and informing the Café Manager.
  • Staying updated with business communications and initiatives.
  • Clearing and sanitising tables to keep the café clean.
Requirements
  • Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness.

  • Teamwork and good communication skills.
