Job summary

Tesco Cafés in Basildon is seeking a Team Member to join our busy cafe team. You will help prepare and serve food, assist customers, and ensure high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, opportunities for progression, and a friendly team that delivers the Tesco service customers expect.

Responsibilities

• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.
• Comfortable working in a team.
• Great communicator with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Confident using your initiative to improve ways of working.
• Good at planning and keeping things organised.
