Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking an experienced Coffee Bar Supervisor to join the team at McKinsey & Company in Holborn, London. You will lead the cafe, ensuring excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

This full-time role is 40 hours weekly with a salary of £15.50 per hour. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and food & beverage knowledge, plus a commitment to hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of food and beverages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent time keeping and organisational skills.
• Supportive team player with a collaborative attitude.
• Strong presentation and customer service skills.
• Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Basic maths for inventory and cash handling.
• Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods.
• Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting is desirable.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring top standard of product and service.
• Monitor coffee standards excellence.
• Supervise, manage and motivate the team.
• Support management in improving sales and service.
• Assist with daily/weekly sales input, stock takes, ordering and rostering.
• Ensure high levels of Food Hygiene and Safety are maintained.
