Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure smooth operations in a major High Street venue on a part-time basis, contracted to 16 hours per week. You will supervise frontline teams, maintain quality standards, and support weekly rotas.

The role involves stock checks, orders, health and safety, and delivering great customer service. The successful candidate will be reliable, communicative, resilient under pressure, and committed to helping the team thrive.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as needed.
• Produce weekly rotas following managerial guidelines.
• Place orders to maintain stock levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Your key responsibilities may include:

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported
• Being a responsible key holder
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal Cafe Supervisor will:

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
• Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
