Job summary

Embassy cafe in London is seeking a full-time Cafe Supervisor to lead daily operations and support a fast-paced team. You will oversee shifts from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, train staff, and ensure consistent service quality across barista, kitchen, and front-of-house.

The role starts with a 2-week paid training at £12.70 per hour, rising to £16.00 per hour on completion. We value punctual, reliable leaders who can coach others and uphold food hygiene standards.

Location: Embassy cafe, W11 4BY, 1 Mortimer square. Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:30 am – 3:30 pm (with every Sunday off). Salary: £16.00 per hour (£12.70 per hour during the initial 2-week training period).

About the Role: We are looking for a full time reliable, energetic, and hands-on Cafe Supervisor to lead our daily operations and support our team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys motivating others.

Training & Trial Period: You don’t need to know our specific systems inside out from day one. We provide a full 2-week paid training period at £12.70/hr, where you will be trained across all sections of the cafe (Barista bar, Kitchen/prep, Floor, and Till). Once you successfully complete the 2 weeks and master all sections, your pay will increase to £16.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership: Arrive for the 6:30 am sharp start to open the cafe, set up stations, and prep for the morning rush..
• Team Support & Training: Actively support, coach, and guide the team on shift. Because you’ll be trained on all sections, you will confidently step into any station (barista, kitchen, or till) to help when needed..
• Customer Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service and handle any customer feedback professionally..
• Operations: Ensure strict compliance with UK food hygiene and allergen regulations and maintain clean, safe environments across all sections..
