Job summary

Ocean Conservation Trust, at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, is recruiting two Kitchen Assistants to support the café with kitchen portering, deliveries, and food preparation. Roles are fixed permanent with a 4-week rota; shifts typically 07:00–17:00, including weekends and bank holidays. Applicants must be able to work in the UK and agree to relevant conditions.

Experience in a busy customer-focused environment is beneficial and prior kitchen experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out catering tasks including kitchen portering, receiving and storing catering deliveries, food preparation and day to day kitchen tasks.
• Shift pattern will be rota'd over a 4-week rolling pattern with hours mainly 07:00-17:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are met.
