Job summary

Tesco Cafs in the UK is seeking a dedicated Back of House team member who helps prepare food, keeps kitchens clean, and ensures consistent quality across the menu. You’ll work to keep equipment and utensils spotless, deliver meals to customers promptly, and follow food safety and hygiene regulations while maintaining daily records.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.

• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh.
• Accept deliveries and store food safely.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the cafe\'s standards.
• Maintain standards and ensure all food products are available.
• Know the cafe\'s menu inside and out and serve food as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and pass on information to the Caf Manager.
• Stay up to date with business communications and new initiatives.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Tesco as a business, the following provides an overview of the roles key responsibilities and measures:

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.

• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up to date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
