Job summary

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water operates the Llys y Fran Visitor Centre in Pembrokeshire. We’re seeking an enthusiastic team member to assist visitors, run the shop and cafe, and support on-site safety and cleanliness.

The role involves customer-facing duties at a not-for-profit organisation, with flexible weekday/weekend shifts and staff benefits. Training is provided to cover all site procedures.

Qualifications

• Health & safety experience required.
• Retail customer service experience preferred.
• DBS check required prior to start date.
• Flexibility to work on weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety on site following procedures.
• Provide visitor information on walks, cycles and activities.
• Display shop items and manage stock to maximise income.
• Reconcile daily income with till receipts.
• Engage with visitors as an ambassador of Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Keep tables clean and ready for customers.
• General cleaning in kitchen and storage areas.

What you'll be responsible for

• Work to appropriate procedures to ensure the safety of all persons on site.
• Provide a friendly information service to visitors about places to walk, cycle and other activities.
• Display shop items and maintain stock to maximise income.
• Daily reconciliation of income with till receipts.
• Engage with visitors as an ambassador of Welsh Water.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Ensuring tables are clean and available for customers to use.
• General cleaning duties with the kitchen and storage areas.

Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water keep 3 million people healthy each day with safe, reliable water, and take away wastewater to clean, before returning it safely to our beautiful rivers and seas.

Llys y Fran is our largest reservoir in Pembrokeshire residing in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains. The site had a £4m refurbishment reopening the Visitor Centre with a new café, retail area and a superb Activity Centre which offers both land and water-based activities.

Variety of shift patterns available, although candidates will need to be flexible to work weekdays and weekends.
