Job summary

Hft seeks a friendly, reliable café all-rounder on a casual basis to support both kitchen and front-of-house duties. You will work across areas, with confidence in either role welcomed, and contribute to delivering hot and cold food and drinks with care.

The role involves handling cash, following health and safety procedures, and participating in training. Flexible hours and a supportive team are offered to help you support people’s goals.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene qualification and equivalent vocational qualification.
• Experience in kitchen or front-of-house desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support people to prepare hot and cold food and beverages.
• Prepare meals within set budget using approved suppliers to ensure quality and presentation.
• Change menus seasonally to keep offerings fresh.
• Prepare meals for dietary requirements (diabetes, PKU, allergies).
• Handle cash and till transactions and reconcile daily.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and safe working environment.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory training when required.
• Keep records of meals prepared and cleaning tasks.
