Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a CAD Technician (Sheet Metal/SolidWorks) in Rochdale to develop sheet metal fabrication drawings and program CNC machinery. You will liaise with major clients and deliver drawings while supporting project delivery for blue-chip customers.

The role offers training, company benefits and a pension, with typical hours 8:00am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday and an early finish on Friday. Location is Rochdale, with long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and reading fabrication drawings.
• SolidWorks knowledge preferred but not essential.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate clearly.

• Use SolidWorks to create drawings for sheet metal fabrication.

• Send drawings to clients and support project delivery for blue-chip customers.
• Collaborate with the team to manage an increased workload as the business grows.

Requirements

• Experience working with sheet metal and a background in fabrication.
• SolidWorks knowledge is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and communicate Technical Drawings clearly.

Additional Details

Typical hours: 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday (1:00pm).
